Job summary

Austin Industries, Inc. seeks a Pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems for industrial production and processing environments. You will work with pipe systems, supports, and related components to ensure safe, efficient operation on site.

Required are 4 years Journeyman experience, NCCER certification, a valid driver's license, and TWIC card. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.
• NCCER certification, a Valid Driver’s License and TWIC Card.
• Legal authorization to work for ANY employer in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and types and related materials according to specifications.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment.
• Install automatic controls used to regulate pipe systems.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and ensure holes won't weaken structures.
• Operate motorized pumps to remove water from flooded areas.
