Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a qualified Pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install and maintain complex pipe systems across industrial facilities. You will cut, thread and fit piping, attach sections to structures, plan layouts, select materials and install automatic controls.

Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Certifications/licenses: NCCER, TWIC and DL.
• Experience: 3–5 years Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related components.
• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using hand and power tools.
• Attach pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps or welding equipment.
• Plan pipe system layout and select pipe sizes and materials per specifications.
• Install automatic controls to regulate pipe systems and turn valves to isolate sections.
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and ensure structural integrity of holes.
• Operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and replacement of worn components.
