Automatic Handling International, Inc. is seeking a skilled panel assembler to build and troubleshoot custom control panels for automated packaging equipment. You will handle panel layout, wiring, testing, and commissioning using electrical schematics.

The role involves wiring devices, labeling, and ensuring clean, standards-compliant installations, with opportunities to work on live systems and perform debugging tasks in a clean shop environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits.
• Manual dexterity to work with wires and hand tools.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• At least two years’ experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and wiring of industrial control panels
• Dimensionally layout back panels and externally mounted devices
• Operate computerized terminal, wire labeling, and engraving equipment
• Wire panel devices according to provided electrical schematics
• Route and bundle wires and cables neatly and according to established electrical standards
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Powering up panels (hot wiring)
• Debugging I/O with live power
