Job summary

Motion Industries in Massachusetts is seeking a Control Panel Builder II (Service Technician II) to assemble and wire industrial control panels in accordance with UL508A standards, using hand and power tools and reading blueprints. You will verify components, test circuit continuity, and document modifications on drawings, while coordinating with Engineering to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of shop experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assemble / install industrial control panels using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics and recognize components.
• Assemble electro-mechanical components with interconnected wiring.
• Cut, strip, bend and mount wires to connect electrical components within the control panel.
• Document modifications or as-built conditions on drawings.
• Test continuity of circuits in electrical wiring.
• Work with low voltage electricity and electrical components.
• Work with Engineering staff to help improve quality and efficiency.
• General manufacturing and assembly duties will be assigned when control panel shop work is not available.
