Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is hiring a full-time outside sales Account Specialist in Northern California, serving the Central Valley and Bay Area. You’ll leverage customer service and sales skills to grow accounts, network with maintenance, engineering and purchasing teams, and drive solutions with leading suppliers.

You will report to the Regional Manager and work within a dynamic, team-driven culture that rewards performance with quarterly bonuses and broad benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ yrs industrial sales or 5+ yrs in the aggregate industry.
• Proven experience in developing new business and building repeat business.
• Relationship-building skills at all levels with customers and prospect organizations.
• Hands-on product demonstrations for customers and prospects; mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are essential
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand customer base across Central Valley and Bay Area regions.
• Network with customers to grow existing accounts and find new applications.
• Coordinate with service centers and suppliers to fulfill quotes and orders.
• Resolve changes in part numbers and inform customers of obsolescence.
• Track lead times, expedites orders, and monitor warranties and cost savings.
