Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a full-time outside sales Account Specialist in Northern California, covering the Central Valley and Bay Area. In this role, you will leverage strong sales and customer-service skills to grow accounts in the mining and aggregate markets and help customers find cost-saving solutions.

You will report to the Regional Manager and partner with service centers to expedite orders, maintain lead times, and promote supplier solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ yrs industrial sales or 5+ yrs in the aggregate industry.
• Proven experience in developing new business and building repeat business
• Relationship-building skills at all levels with customers and prospect organizations
• Hands-on product demonstrations for customers and prospects; mechanical aptitude
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are essential
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsabilités

• Network and prospect for new customers and grow existing accounts.
• Help customers find solutions to their needs and identify new applications.
• Talk with maintenance, engineering, purchasing for better alignment.
• Promote solutions with key suppliers and support customer requests.
• Maintain lead times and process requisitions.
• Expedite orders and provide product sourcing assistance.
• Track cost savings and document value add to customers.
