Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a proven Industrial Outside Sales Representative to service the Sacramento/Modesto/Stockton area. The role is field-based, requiring you to develop relationships from quote to delivery and beyond.

You will be based in the Stockton area, with a fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone and a laptop provided. You will pursue new business opportunities, maintain vendor relationships, and use Salesforce to track activity and forecast success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years industry-related sales experience.
• Results-oriented, self-motivated, able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Problem solving, leadership and listening skills.
• General digital literacy.
• Self-motivator, ability to multi-task and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, working with branch associates to ensure satisfaction from order to delivery.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and develop sales strategies.
• Perform product quotations and resolution of issues.
• Analyze competition in territory, devise sales strategy, and communicate it to management.
• continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to project a professional image in the field.
• Document all sales activity in Salesforce for pipeline evaluation and closure metrics.
