Job summary

INVISTA is seeking an Operations System Engineer to advance data- and technology-driven operational excellence across our global manufacturing network. You will leverage OT data platforms and automation to improve decision making and equipment reliability, working with global process control teams.

The role sits at Houston-area facilities with hybrid work options and ~10% travel. You’ll collaborate with site teams to deliver scalable data solutions and ensure secure, reliable infrastructure

Qualifications

• Experience with AVEVA PI, HighByte, KepWare or comparable OT software platforms.
• Experience with MQTT, REST, OPC UA, or APIs.
• Experience reading, modifying, and developing SQL queries, and programming with PowerShell, C#, or comparable languages.
• Experience diagnosing OT challenges and implementing technical solutions, including root cause analysis and stakeholder communication.
• Willing and able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule and travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain OT data pipelines using AVEVA PI, Seeq, Snowflake, transforming raw process data into actionable insights.
• Integrate industrial IoT and real-time data sources into reporting, visualization, and analytics platforms.
• Partner with site and capability teams to understand business needs and develop engineered data solutions.
• Support process monitoring, control systems, predictive maintenance, and asset health programs to reduce downtime.
• Apply OT and IT cybersecurity practices across supported systems.
• Provide OT infrastructure support including automation initiatives and system migrations as needed.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools to improve engineering, analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Participate in a shared global on-call rotation and occasional site support.
