Job summary

Laminar, based in Somerville, MA, seeks an ML Infrastructure Engineer to own the development of infrastructure and tooling powering ML researchers to train, evaluate, and deploy models at scale. Your work enables Laminar’s models to run across edge devices and industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Experience using cloud platforms to train/evaluate ML models at scale.
• Experience with experiment tracking and model lifecycle tools (MLflow, wandb).
• Strong Python and SDK skills; familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX).
• Experience with SQL, Databricks/Spark, and parquet data formats.
• Ability to build user-friendly tooling for researchers and scale ML pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop orchestration tooling for researchers to launch modeling jobs—training, fine-tuning, inference.
• Design testing environments with semi-supervised metrics and priors for evaluation.
• Build model registries and deployment pipelines for edge devices with versioning.
• Develop monitoring to detect drift and trigger continual training pipelines.
• Collaborate with ML researchers and software engineers to fit existing infra and needs.
• Create solutions tailored to Laminar's unique use-cases and data.
