Job summary

Laminar is hiring a Machine Learning Developer to advance ML models powering precision automation for fluid and process manufacturing. You will own model development from prototype to production, collaborating with ML/Data Scientists to scale training, run experiments, and refine approaches across domains such as chemometrics and self-supervised learning.

You’ll work on spectral sensors and software platforms, building preprocessing, feature extraction, and reliable model deployment.

Qualifications

• Proficient with at least one Python ML framework (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow).
• Fluent with Python data stack (NumPy, Polars, Pandas, scikit-learn).
• Experience delivering high-quality code on schedules.

Responsibilities

• Build machine learning models for process optimization across domains (CIP, material ID, etc.).
• Design experiments to evaluate models for generalization and robustness.
• Work with spectral/multi-modal sensor data to extract features from noisy real-world signals.
• Support model reliability with monitoring for drift and anomalies.
• Develop ML infrastructure and tooling in collaboration with teams.
