Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Millwright to diagnose mechanical failures and perform maintenance, installation, repair and alignment of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should have 3–5 years of journeyman level experience and be able to pass drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States; Austin does not sponsor visas.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• No Per diem will be paid.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs industrial mechanical equipment.
• Replaces defective parts or adjusts clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Tests, repairs, or installs mechanical units such as pumps, governors, and brakes.
• Rebuilds pumps, cylinders, and other mechanical equipment following SOPs.
• Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, and precision instruments.
• Installation and maintenance of complex machinery and related systems.
• Work may require PPE and safe work practices at high elevations or confined spaces.
