Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Millwright/Mechanic for night shift to diagnose and repair industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting. The role involves preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting across a range of mechanical systems.

We require 3-5 years journeyman level experience; education is flexible. Benefit options include medical, dental, life and disability insurance, plus a 401K with ESOP involvement for employee-owners.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Shift: Nights
• Pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and industrial mechanical equipment.
• Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Tests, repairs, or installs mechanical units, such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors systems, brakes, clutches, and other such devices.
• Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets, and a variety of other machine parts.
• Rebuild pumps, cylinders, and various mechanical equipment as necessary following standard operating procedures.
• Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Fabricates repair parts if necessary.
• Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment.
• Wide range of mobility and positions, reach overhead, work at heights.
• Other duties as assigned.
