Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Millwright/Mechanic for an on-site role in Eastover, SC. The work involves diagnosing mechanical failures, performing repairs, and maintaining industrial equipment across manufacturing environments.

The job requires navigating ladders, heights, and PPE, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Candidates should have 3–5 years of journeyman experience, be able to work night shifts, and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years journeyman level experience.
• Available for night shift.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and industrial mechanical equipment.
• Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Tests, repairs, or installs mechanical units such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors, brakes, and clutches.
• Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets, and other machine parts.
• Rebuild pumps, cylinders, and mechanical equipment following SOPs.
• Align machines with hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Fabricates repair parts as necessary.
• Work while wearing PPE including rain gear, chemical suit, respirators, safety gear.
• Maintain mobility and work in various positions; climb stairs and work at heights.
• Other duties as assigned.
