Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Millwright/Mechanic in Owensboro, KY for a full-time, on-site role. You will diagnose mechanical failures, repair industrial equipment, and perform preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

This position is part of a 100% employee-owned company (ESOP) with strong safety and quality standards. Qualifications include 3–5 years of Journeyman level experience, pre-employment screening, and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check.
• Full-time, 40 hours/week, on-site; no per diem or relocation funding.
• Authorized to work in the United States; Austin cannot sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and industrial mechanical equipment.
• Replace defective parts and adjust clearances and alignment.
• Tests, repairs, or installs mechanical units such as pumps, governors, brakes, and more.
• Rebuild pumps, cylinders, and other equipment; align machines with tools.
• Fabricates repair parts; work requiring PPE; perform varied positions and movements.
