Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and install mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role requires repairing pumps, bearings, drives, and related components while maintaining safety standards.

3-5 years journeyman level experience is expected. The position is full-time, on-site, with no relocation assistance and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• 3-5 years journeyman level experience.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs and installs industrial mechanical equipment.
• Tests, repairs or installs mechanical units such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors systems, brakes, clutches and other devices.
• Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets and other machine parts.
• Rebuilds pumps, cylinders, and various mechanical equipment per procedures.
• Fabricates repair parts as necessary.
• Must wear PPE and perform duties safely in varied conditions.
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity commitments.
