Job summary

Hoover Treated Wood Products is seeking a Millwright to maintain machinery and electrical systems, ensuring environmental and safety compliance. Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance (2 years minimum).
• Ability to perform cutting, grinding and welding activities.
• Willingness to learn the treating plant operation.
• Knowledge of Bearings, Motors, Gear boxes, Hydraulic systems, Sprockets, Pumps, and Pneumatic systems.
• Ability to identify worn parts and methods for replacement.
• Ability to work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and basic math skills.
• Comfort with Windows programs, word processing, email and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report unsafe or non-compliant activities.
• Maintain mechanical equipment to remain operational including pumps, valves, conveyors, and hydraulic units.
• Maintain electrical equipment to remain operational including breaker boxes, power supplies, sensors, and lighting.
• Complete work orders for issues with equipment.
• Respond promptly to operational downtime.
• Follow preventative maintenance programs with accurate record keeping.
• Install new equipment including running electrical wire and piping as directed.
• Work with motors, pumps, bearings, and chains; keep the shop area clean and safe.
• Troubleshoot operational problems and work with engineers as directed.
• Attend training and safety meetings; perform computer duties as necessary.
