The role covers mechanical and electrical maintenance, with responsibilities for preventive maintenance, work orders, and rapid response to downtime. Responsibilities include wiring and piping during equipment installation, lifting performance, and collaboration with engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance required (2 years minimum).
• Ability to perform cutting, grinding and welding activities.
• Knowledge of Bearings, Motors, Gear boxes, Hydraulic systems, Sprockets, Pumps, and Pneumatic systems.
• Ability to identify worn parts and knowledge of how to replace them.
• Be comfortable working within Windows based programs, using a word processor and email; good knowledge of spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report all unsafe or non-compliant activities.
• Maintain mechanical equipment to remain operational including chemical transfer pumps, vacuum pumps, valves, conveyors, hydraulic units, burners, mobile equipment, etc.
• Maintain electrical equipment to remain operational including breaker boxes, power supplies, sensors, and lighting, etc.
• Complete work orders for issues with equipment.
• Prompt response to operational downtime.
• Maintain and follow preventative maintenance programs with accurate record keeping.
• Install new equipment including running new electrical wire and/or piping as directed.
• Troubleshoot operational problems and work with engineers as directed.
• Proactively detect, diagnose and repair potential issues using PM and inspection tools.
