Job summary

The Hopewell Mill, part of Smurfit Westrock Company, is seeking skilled General Mechanic Millwrights and Machinists to support its paper manufacturing operations in Hopewell, VA. The roles involve installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements of process equipment.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, 5–10 years in an industrial setting, and a Journeyman certification or MOS. Overtime and rotating shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certification or equivalent MOS is required.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul process equipment.
• Read drawings and Bills of Materials to identify parts and procedures.
• Perform data collection on vibration, temperature, speed, and related metrics.
• Communicate effectively and work rotating shifts as needed.
