Job summary

ITAC, a nationwide ENR-ranked design-build firm based in North Carolina, is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Superintendent to oversee mechanical projects from start to finish. You will manage direct-hire and subcontracted labor, ensure efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment, and enforce safety protocols on site.

The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical systems, proven construction coordination, and leadership with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Industrial Mechanical Superintendent is required, 7 years preferred.
• As a Foreman or Superintendent, overall experience 12 years minimum
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Proven experience in managing and coordinating construction projects.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate mechanical projects from start to completion.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of direct-hire and subcontracted labor.
• Ensure efficient usage of manpower, material, and equipment.
• Enforce safety regulations and protocols.
• Coordinate with the project team to develop detailed project execution plans.
• Monitor project progress and anticipate potential cost or schedule impacts.
• Collaborate with the project team to develop close-out and turnover plans.
• Prepare and present proposals to potential clients.
