Job summary

Skilled Trades Partners is seeking an experienced Working Shop Foreman / Industrial Mechanic for a full-time opportunity in Waterbury, CT. This hands-on leadership role troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds industrial rotating equipment while guiding the day-to-day operation of a busy repair shop.

You will lead shop mechanics, disassemble and inspect motors, repair pumps and gearboxes, diagnose failures, and operate a lathe.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial mechanical or millwright experience.
• Experience repairing electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, or rotating equipment.
• Manual lathe experience required.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience leading or mentoring other mechanics/technicians.
• Comfortable working with heavy industrial equipment.
• Welding, fabrication, machining experience is a plus.
• No electrical license required.

Skilled Trades Partners is seeking an experienced Working Shop Foreman / Industrial Mechanic for a full-time opportunity with an established, family-owned industrial service company in Waterbury, CT.

This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who knows how to troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild industrial rotating equipment while helping oversee the day‑to‑day operation of a busy repair shop. This is not a desk‑only foreman role — we’re looking for someone who can lead by example and work alongside the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and work alongside shop mechanics and technicians
