Job summary

AMVAC U.S. is seeking a Mechanic for our Marsing, Idaho facility. The role installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs machinery used to blend, mix, and package chemical products in a high‐safety environment.

You will support reliable plant operations, meet production goals, and drive continuous improvement while following safety, quality, and environmental standards. Strong mechanical and electrical skills, plus the ability to obtain forklift/motion-lift certifications within 45 days, are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five (5) years of industrial and mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift, manlift, and boom lift certifications within 45 days of hire.
• Must read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, P&IDs, blueprints and procedures.
• Experience with precision instruments (dial indicators, vernier calipers, micrometers).
• Familiarity with shop equipment (hydraulic presses, bearing heaters, pipe threaders, drill presses, grinders, vises, band saws, MIG welders).
• Understanding of manufacturing plant operations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair processing equipment including mechanical components and electrical controls.
• Inspect and test machinery to identify issues and prevent failures.
• Dismantle, repair, install, and reassemble pumps, gearboxes, valves, piping, and other equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions in rotating equipment; service shafts, bearings, gears, and seals.
• Perform calibration checks on scales, flow meters, and other instruments.
• Coordinate and schedule contract maintenance personnel and support maintenance programs.
