Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to support maintenance of plastic molding machinery and related systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work with the maintenance manager and production supervisor, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair components, and ensure safety and compliance, with emphasis on pneumatic/hydraulic systems and tooling.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of work experience in a manufacturing plant as a Maintenance Mechanic or Technician.
• Knowledge and experience working with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls.
• Able to use both a MIG welder, and ARC welder.
• Advanced working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems incl. Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission.
• Familiar with safety practices including Lockout/Tagout and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Follows all work instructions and safety policies, including PPE usage.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment.
• Repairs basic mechanical components and replaces parts on machines.
• Observes and listens to devices to locate causes of problems.
• Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts.
• Lubricates and cleans machinery to maintain housekeeping and PM standards.
• Completes work orders to improve safety, reduce downtime, and boost efficiency.
• Follows safety rules including Lockout/Tagout and housekeeping.
• Troubleshoots equipment failures to determine root cause.
• Repairs equipment to improve availability and reliability.
• Collects and analyzes delay codes to reduce schedule delays.
• Ensures preventive maintenance compliance and proper repair history.
• Assists in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies within budget.
