Job summary

HDR is seeking an Industrial Market Sector Leader to oversee the growth of HDR's Industrial program in Illinois and Indiana, with focus on oil, gas and chemicals, water/wastewater, and air quality. HDR has offices in Chicago, Rosemont, Springfield and Indianapolis to support the growing regional needs.

The role emphasizes leadership, client development and talent growth, collaborating with regional and national leaders to meet ambitious growth goals while upholding HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience.
• Proven ability in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services.
• Experience in developing client relationships and pursuing program and project opportunities.
• Staff development including recruiting, career path and growth.
• Involvement with industry associations and active market presence.
• Ability to collaborate with regional directors and area leaders.

Responsibilities

• Grow and monitor HDR's Industrial portfolio in Illinois and Indiana; partner with business development to diversify work.
• Identify and pursue opportunities across design, consulting, advisory, owners engineering, asset management, due diligence, and planning.
• Establish external teaming relationships and represent HDR in industry associations.
• Provide leadership and project management to ensure staffing and quality; serve as Principal-in-Charge or Project Manager.
• Coordinate with Area Business Group Manager and leaders to align resources with workload and marketing efforts.
• Drive client growth locally and regionally, including staff hiring for business development and marketing plans.
• Coordinate with operations and managers to support work sharing; lead and motivate staff to meet growth goals.
