Job summary

HDR is seeking an Industrial Market Sector Leader to guide the growth of HDR's Industrial program in Illinois and Indiana. You will lead client development, diversify markets and recruit talent to meet project needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 10+ years in industry, and proven ability to build strategic marketing programs and long-term client relationships within the industrial sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience
• Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services
• Experience developing and managing a wide range of client relationships and specific program/projects pursuits
• Experience with staff development including recruiting and career growth
• Active involvement with industry associations and maintaining a visible market profile
• Ability to collaborate with Regional Market Sector Directors and Area Managers and align resources with workload

Responsibilities

• Grow, monitor, and participate in HDR's portfolio of Industrial services in IL and IN, coordinating with leaders to diversify and grow client relationships
• Identify opportunities to deliver design, consulting, advisory services, owners engineering, asset management, due diligence, and planning
• Establish external teaming relationships and represent HDR in industry associations
• Provide leadership and project management to ensure staffing and quality execution; serve as Principal-in-Charge or PM
• Coordinate with Area leaders to align resources with workload and marketing efforts
• Lead and motivate staff to meet growth goals and drive business development and marketing plans
• Support work-sharing across local operations and business groups
