Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Industrial Maintenance & Utility Operator to support plant manufacturing with a hybrid role combining mechanical maintenance and utility system operation. The position requires working Mon-Fri 6AM-2PM and involves troubleshooting equipment, managing boiler, chiller, HVAC, and related systems, and maintaining CMMS records.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance or utility operations experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with continuous process operations.
• Knowledge of safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks, piping, and rotating equipment.
• Plans, selects, and lays out materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance work.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and process lines.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS and follow all safety and environmental protocols.
• Provides direction and training to less experienced O&M Specialists.
