Job summary

The role requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance or utilities, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work outdoors and handle hazardous materials. On-call rotation applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial maintenance or utility operations in chemical/industrial env.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with continuous processes.
• Familiarity with boilers, chillers, HVAC, dust collectors, scrubbers.
• Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and manuals.
• Outdoor work and hazardous materials exposure; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks, piping, and rotating equipment.
• Plan and lay out materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance work.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and lines.
• Maintain CMMS records and follow safety and environmental protocols.
• Provide direction and training to O&M Specialists.
• Requisition new supplies and equipment as needed.
• Monitor and operate plant utilities: boilers, chillers, HVAC, etc.
• Respond to alarms and take corrective action as required.
• Assist with startup, shutdown, and emergency procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
