Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical maintenance, inspections and repairs at the Sparrows Point Cement Plant in MD. The role requires 2-4 years of industrial maintenance, with welding experience and the ability to read schematics. Basic hydraulics knowledge is a plus.

Strong weld/cut skills, attention to safety, and the willingness to respond to call-outs after hours are important. HS diploma required; welding certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience rebuilding gear boxes and shaft alignment on heavy industrial equipment is desirable.
• Basic hydraulics knowledge and ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems; perform preventative maintenance.
• Repair equipment such as fans, conveyors, reducers, mills and other material handling equipment.
• Read blueprints or schematics and use welding/cutting as needed.
• Respond to call-outs during non-work hours.
• Support safety policies and housekeeping in the plant.
