Job summary

GAF in Baltimore is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our high‑speed production team. You will bring at least 3 years of maintenance experience, including welding and cutting, pneumatics, and mechanical drives on conveyors.

Duties include electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, motor and wiring replacements, preventive maintenance, and safe rigging. A strong mechanical background and teamwork mindset are essential to keep our plant running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a high-speed production line environment.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, conveyors, belts, splices, bearings and drives.
• Welding and cutting using oxygen-acetylene torches and electric arc welding equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to perform maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Replace motors, switches and wiring as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair and operate machine equipment.
• Perform carpentry and plumbing work as needed.
• Operate lift trucks and cranes following safety practices.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and document work performed.
• Keep work area and tools organized and clean.
