Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on equipment and facilities at the Midlothian, Texas cement plant. The role includes repair, welding, preventive maintenance, and equipment installation with a focus on safety and compliance.

You will read blueprints, handle various machinery, and work rotating shifts. A high school diploma is required; trade training is preferred, and a strong mechanical aptitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school or training program preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints or sketches.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, manlift, light crane, drill press, cut-off saw, pipe threader, hydraulic press, iron worker and related hand tools.
• Perform welding and cutting with ability to work from blueprints or drawings.
• Repair equipment such as fans, conveyors, reducers, elevators and other material handling gear.
• Understand hydraulics and read schematics; respond to call-outs and stay over when needed.
• Prepare requisitions, update work orders in SAP and complete safety documentation.
