Job summary

Webco Industries, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to safely maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild production equipment in a steel coil slitting operation.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control system failures to maximize slitter uptime and reduce repeat failures. The role balances emergency response, preventive maintenance, and planned corrective work while ensuring high-quality repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems, bearing installation/removal, electrical systems up to 480 VAC, and welding/fabrication.
• Ability to follow safety training and facility programs including LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Preferred: experience in steel processing, coil slitting, or related heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance safely per company policies, procedures, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures to energy sources and verify zero-energy state before work.
• Balance emergency breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and planned repairs.
• Communicate failure conditions to operators, inspect equipment, identify causes, and restore safe operation.
• Test repaired equipment and verify safeguards and controls before production release.
• Assist root cause analysis and document failure conditions and corrective actions.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
