Job summary

Wabtec in Jackson, TN is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery and electrical systems in an industrial setting. You will inspect equipment, diagnose issues, and repair or replace components to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to install, maintain and repair industrial machinery and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and consulting with supervisors.
• Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other components.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, transformers and wiring.
• Lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic equipment.
• Repair and maintain physical structure of facilities.
• Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts.
• Operate welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
