Job summary

Wabtec in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment throughout the facility. You will work with the maintenance team to optimize performance and communicate issues as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of industrial electrical experience, familiarity with conduit, wiring of 1ø/3ø motors, CMMS, and NEC knowledge. Join a safety‑minded team committed to reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years industrial electrical experience. Journeyman license preferred but not required.
• Ability to install, repair and identify electrical components, run conduit, wire 1ø/3ø motors, troubleshoot distributions and equipment circuits.
• Ability to use a PC to research issues and order materials; experience with CMMS preferred.
• Proficient with contactors, starters, transformers, disconnects, fuses, cable drops, limit switches, wiring terminals, buss duct; safety and MSDS practices.
• General understanding of NEC; apply GW Hazardous Energy Policy consistently.

Responsibilities

• Must have appropriate tools to perform repairs and installations.
• Analyze and correct electrical problems.
• Repair/overhaul electrical equipment and controls.
• Install new service drops and circuit breaker panels.
• Wire machinery circuits; follow wiring diagrams and NEC instructions.
• Maintain safety standards and OSHA-compliant practices.
