Job summary

Corning is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Associate to provide diagnostic and repair services for manufacturing equipment, including heat treat ovens, servo presses, and test equipment. The role supports maintenance needs across a busy machine shop, focusing on quick learning and responsive problem solving.

You will coordinate multiple maintenance tasks, communicate status with your supervisor, and perform essential duties to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of two years’ maintenance experience on general facility type machines.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on production machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
• Use manuals, documents and vendor resources to diagnose machine issues.
• Read schematics and parts drawings to identify needed parts.
