Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Technician to join our manufacturing team in the United States. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, trouble-shooting, and repairing industrial mechanical systems and equipment to meet quality specifications and uptime targets.

The ideal candidate will read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, perform routine maintenance, and work with lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 1–2 years of apprenticeship/applied trades training.
• Basic knowledge of shop mathematics.
• Equivalent education and experience may be acceptable.
• CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain industrial automation machinery and robotics.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety rules.
• Troubleshoot components and diagnose system failures.
• Work independently to perform tasks and meet deadlines.
