Insteel Industries seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial mechanical systems. You will fabricate parts, fit bearings, align gears, and ensure equipment runs to quality specs.

The role emphasizes ALARA safety and zero harm in a heavy manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include maintaining automation machinery, inspecting equipment, reading drawings, and diagnosing failures.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of industrial machinery maintenance experience.
• Broad technical training with basic knowledge of shop mathematics.
• Minimum two years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment; multi-craft experience preferred.
• Equivalency of education and work experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain industrial automation machinery and robotics.
• Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Troubleshoot components and diagnose system failures.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Work independently and follow safety procedures.
