Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair and maintain large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. This role includes startup/shutdown procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer.

You will read blueprints, interpret electrical schematics, and perform preventative maintenance while recording activities and staying compliant with safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Two years maintenance engineering experience with machinery, electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler applications.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Proficient with power and hand tools.
• Strong 3-phase 230V electrical troubleshooting ability.
• PLC programming experience.
• Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.
• Good verbal and written English communication; able to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and performs preventive maintenance on industrial processing equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoots electrical issues and replaces faulty parts.
• Responds to daily maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Diagnoses problems, tests, and adjusts equipment.
• Keeps accurate records of maintenance performed.
• Follows safety rules and procedures; ensures safe, efficient work.
