Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair and maintain large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. Tasks include start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, welding, hydraulics and general mechanical maintenance.

This role reports to the Chief Engineer and requires reading blueprints and manuals to ensure correct operation, plus maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two years maintenance experience with machinery and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• PLC programming experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on industrial processing equipment and related systems.
• Troubleshoots electrical issues.
• Responds to daily maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Diagnoses problems and replaces parts, tests and adjusts as needed.
• Maintains accurate and timely records of maintenance performed.
