Job summary

Commercial Metals in Oklahoma seeks a skilled maintenance technician to keep our manufacturing equipment running reliably and safely. You will troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate various machines, interpret schematics, and perform routine preventive maintenance as part of a dynamic team.

You’ll use SAP for maintenance tasks, collaborate with operators and leadership, and uphold safety programs across facilities in a Fortune 500 environment with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and business leadership.
• Able to perform maintenance/repair at heights or adverse conditions safely including adhering to and following LOTO procedures.
• Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather.
• Demonstrate dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments and calibration procedures, assemble, install, test and execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns
• Use SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actions
• Fabricates parts by using machine shop instruments and equipment
• Conserves maintenance resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Exercise judgment to determine appropriate course of action and prepare business recommendations
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
• Perform additional duties as needed
