Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Durant, OK, is seeking a maintenance technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex mechanical systems across our fabrication and manufacturing sites. You will use SAP to manage work orders, read blueprints, and coordinate with peers to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

The role requires reading hydraulic schematics, welding/fabrication experience, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read hydraulic schematics and diagnose hydraulic issues.
• Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication and equipment maintenance preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in heavy industrial operations or manufacturing.
• Read blueprints and interpret schematics; operate safety rules and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Participates in CMC safety programs and upholds safety culture.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems with test equipment and tools.
• Use SAP to execute work orders and maintain records.
• Lead maintenance projects and coordinate with peers/contractors.
• Meet work quality expectations and monitor equipment for defects.
