Job summary

Helion Group in Waco, GA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to support a large industrial manufacturing facility. This hands-on role focuses on mechanical and electrical systems, responding to equipment breakdowns, and getting production back up and running.

You will troubleshoot Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs, review PLC logic, adjust control circuits, and work with the maintenance team to keep production equipment running smoothly.

Qualifications

Hands-on troubleshooting experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Ability to read and understand PLC logic for troubleshooting.
Experience with drives/VFDs.
Strong problem-solving skills and root-cause analysis.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize work orders.

Responsibilities

Respond to electrical and mechanical equipment breakdowns across the facility.
Troubleshoot PLCs and control circuits; review PLC logic for root causes.
Replace drives and configure replacement drives; download/configure software.
Make minor PLC logic changes as needed.
Work with shift supervisor to prioritize breakdowns and outstanding work orders.
Independently troubleshoot assigned equipment and coordinate with maintenance team.
