Job summary
Helion Group seeks an experienced I&C Technician to support production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. You will focus on hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting, with instrumentation and programming tasks as needed.
You will troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, MCCs, and motor control circuits, read schematics, and work with engineering on modifications to keep lines running safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Strong Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting experience is required.
- Electrical troubleshooting of 480V systems, MCCs, motor starters, VFDs, servo drives, and power distribution.
- Experience with HMIs, PLC I/O, industrial networks, and basic controls programming.
- Instrumentation experience with flow, level, temperature, and pressure devices preferred.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Engineering experience or background is welcome.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, MCCs, and related control systems.
- Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, drives, power distribution, and 480V systems.
- Connect to PLCs using a laptop and Ethernet to identify faults and determine root causes of equipment failures.
- Perform basic controls programming adjustments and work with engineering on programming modifications when needed.
- Inspect, test, replace, and repair failed instrumentation and assist with calibration activities.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings for troubleshooting and system support.
