Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. Responsibilities include start-up/shut-down, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, welding and hydraulics, with reporting to the Chief Engineer.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, two years of maintenance experience, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of two years maintenance engineering experience.
• Proficient in proper use of power and hand tools.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability with 3-phase 230V systems.
• PLC programming experience.
• Experience in boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.
• Good verbal and written English communication.
• Team player with initiative and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and perform preventive maintenance on industrial processing equipment and related systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform emergency/unscheduled repairs.
• Respond to daily maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, and test adjustments.
• Study blueprints and manuals to determine correct operation; read electrical schematics.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records; ensure safety compliance.
• Collaborate with plant personnel and supervise directions.
