Job summary

GILLIG is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician (Journeyperson) in Livermore, CA. The role covers troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and fabricating repairs to keep manufacturing equipment running smoothly.

Responsibilities include reading diagrams, working with PLCs, VFDs, and automation components, and adhering to safety policies. First and second shifts with hourly wages are offered, with union environment evident.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong electrical maintenance skills including 3-phase motors, VFDs, controls and troubleshooting.
• Ability to problem solve and demonstrate competency via skill tests.
• Proficient with power tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance on processing/manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and fabricate components with basic tools and shop equipment.
• Read mechanical/electrical diagrams and repair manuals for guided maintenance.
• Ensure safety procedures and OSHA guidelines are followed.
