Job summary

Aerotek in Columbia, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation of mechanical and electrical systems across the facility.

The role involves diagnosing issues, repairing conveyors, motors, PLCs (Allen-Bradley), pneumatics and hydraulics, reading blueprints, and supporting HVAC tasks. This onsite position offers a shift-based schedule with growth opportunities and teamwork.

Qualifications

Experience performing preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills including 3-phase and 480V motors.
Proficiency with conveyor systems, gear boxes, and industrial mechanical components.
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics in manufacturing environments.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, including Allen-Bradley PLCs and related control systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Experience with electronics and machine control systems in production environments.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs on machinery and systems when breakdowns occur.
Inspect, maintain, and repair conveyor systems, gear boxes, and related mechanical components.
Service and troubleshoot pneumatics and hydraulics in manufacturing operations.
Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, sensors, and electronic control devices.
Connect laptops to PLCs for diagnostics and system monitoring.
Diagnose and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and related control systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation for maintenance tasks.
Perform machine repair, installation, and maintenance across various equipment.
Use power tools and fabrication techniques for repairs and modifications.
Document maintenance activities and communicate status to stakeholders.
