Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Columbia, SC. You will maintain manufacturing machinery and facilities equipment, repair automated controls, and troubleshoot drive-related issues acrossFanuc/Siemens/Allen-Bradley systems.

The role requires strong mechanical and basic electrical skills, plus the ability to read schematics and blueprints. You will perform preventive maintenance, document actions, and liaise with internal customers while coordinating with external service

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Industrial Maintenance Technology degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience with Industrial Machinery preferred.
3+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
Strong mechanical skills; basic electrical skills.
Ability to read schematics/blueprints.
Hydraulic/pneumatic systems knowledge desirable.
Self-starter, motivated to maintain equipment uptime via preventive maintenance.
Good communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

Maintain manufacturing machinery and facilities equipment.
Repair automated machine controls and drive-related issues.
Troubleshoot to root cause; document actions.
Perform preventative maintenance autonomously and report status.
Communicate with internal customers and coordinate with outside service providers.
Construct sketches for modifications and prepare material bills.
Utilize material handling equipment and follow LOTO procedures.
