Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an aluminum extrusion manufacturing environment in Cassopolis, MI. The role focuses on preventive and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and VFDs.

You will work on extrusion machines, CNC equipment, and related systems, with 8–10 hour shifts and an on-call program, supporting safety and reliability across the plant.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs on production equipment.
• Ability to read ladder logic diagrams.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Hands-on hydraulic maintenance and repair.
• Solid understanding of 480V three-phase power systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive maintenance to keep production equipment running and minimize downtime.
• Participate in daily passover meetings to review issues and coordinate with teams.
• Diagnose and repair aluminum extrusion equipment and CNC machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance like greasing bearings and tightening bolts.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machines and restore proper operation.
• Read electrical schematics and ladder logic to locate faults and repair.
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Support major PM programs twice per year with inspections and replacements.
• Assist with facilities maintenance as needed to support plant operations.
• Document maintenance work for equipment history and continuous improvement.
