Job summary

Stockhausen Superabsorber GmbH, based in Greensboro, NC, seeks a maintenance technician to keep plant facilities safe and running. You will perform repairs, installations, and modifications, following strict lockout, confined space, and hot work procedures.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, completing work orders, fabricating spare parts, and troubleshooting issues while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Overtime and on-call coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High School degree required with technical training equivalent to 1-3 years of applied trades.
• 1-3 years hands-on maintenance experience in equipment repair or fabrication.
• Able to score the required points on skill proficiency tests within 120 days of employment.
• Meticulous work ethic with a high degree of self-motivation.
• Extensive knowledge of general maintenance and fabrication detail.
• Knowledge of machine design and be capable of assisting in troubleshooting plant equipment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• High- level of quality and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Promote an efficient work environment with focus on safety.
• Perform repairs, modifications, or installations to maintain equipment.
• Follow lockout, closed system entry, confined space entry, and hot work procedures per plant rules.
• Visual and auditory inspection of plant equipment and correct issues found.
• Perform repairs or modifications on work orders as assigned by Supervisors.
• Install or modify new equipment as directed.
• Notify appropriate personnel of equipment changes or modifications.
• Fabricate or repair spare parts as needed.
• Participate in overtime activities as required.
• Troubleshoot equipment and fix failed components.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety requirements.
