Job summary

Associated Materials Innovations is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and recondition machinery and facility equipment. Work from diagrams and manuals to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role covers advanced maintenance across plant systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and production equipment, with focus on minimal supervision and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to read measuring instruments and perform basic failure analysis.
• Understanding of electronic components to troubleshoot and repair.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Minimum 5 years as industrial electrician/maintenance or in extrusion manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform self-directed reactive and planned maintenance, locating root causes and repairing components.
• Dismantle devices to access defective parts and test repaired equipment.
• Build and wire electrical panels and related machinery per NFPA/NEC standards.
• Maintain building grounds and exterior, performing electrical, mechanical, carpentry, or HVAC tasks as needed.
• Assist lower-level technicians and lead small teams; train and develop others.
