Job summary

Avery Dennison in Painesville, Ohio is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am) on a 2-2-3 schedule. The role focuses on repair and upkeep of production equipment, preventive maintenance, and fast problem-solving to minimize downtime.

You will work with electrical/mechanical systems, use PLCs and schematics, and support engineers in diagnosing issues while maintaining a safe, clean workspace in a high-throughput facility.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years previous manufacturing work experience.
• Electrical certification/training or equivalent experience.
• PLC certification/training or equivalent experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Locating and diagnosing failures and performing troubleshooting.
• Repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Operate and maintain electrical and control systems with PLCs.
