Job summary

NOVO Health Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and overhauls on laundry and boiler room equipment in a fast-paced plant environment. The role requires troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, reading schematics, and following safety policies with knowledge of OSHA/HAZMAT guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School or GED with 2–4 years related maintenance experience.
• Skilled in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, welding and related trades.
• Ability to read and analyze electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Familiarity with HAZMAT and OSHA safety requirements.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and working in plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Repair, adjust, overhaul, and perform preventive maintenance on laundry and boiler room equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and diagnose malfunctions quickly and accurately.
• Dismantle and replace defective parts and motors; calibrate feed mechanisms.
• Operate and test machinery to determine causes of failures; document findings.
• Maintain startup procedures and keep logs/work orders up to date.
• Adhere to all safety policies; wear PPE and comply with OSHA regulations.
